A brief history of the Society


There seems to be something wrong with this page.  Everything I entered so painstakingly (I am far from an accomplished typist) seems to have vanished.  In fact, I am sure that some other parts have also disappeared.  I have been having computer problems for a while so I must apologise to anyone who has been frustrated by these apparent upsets
Hopefully, as I am now tranferring things to a new computer,  (Christmas present! Who's a lucky chap, then?)  the future will shortly be somewhat better. The older machine has been losing things from other programmes as well as this site.  As I write, there is a note marked 'send' about two lines below my typing.  I haven't a clue what this is about , so if I can't find it in the printed pages,  I'll have to ask the most helpful people at Mr. Site, (the originators of this website), about it.  Please bear with me and may The Members of the Society, the Committee and myself wish a Happy New Year for 2008, to you all.
