"Dialect Decoded" Sid Calderbank 
A native speaker of Lancashire Dialect,
Sid has been collecting dialect songs and stories from Lancashire for over 40 years. Sid will be drilling down into the many Lancashire dialect words and explaining their history, usage and meanings . |
December 10th
A Merry Yuletide Kesmas Party 
On this evening, members are invited to present their favourite dialect item with a Christmas theme, be it a poem, story or song.

Two hundred years ago members of the Taylor family, of Whitworth, a small hamlet near Rochdale were veterinary surgeons, or horse doctors, as the phrase was.
