Dr Paul Salveson


​Paul is a visiting professor at the universities of Huddersfield and Bolton. His PhD is on the history of Lancashire Dialect Literature (University of Salford, 1993).

Paul’s working life has been in the rail industry where he developed the idea of ‘community rail partnerships’ which have re-invigorated dozens of local railways.

He runs his own publishing business, ‘Lancashire Loominary’. His latest publication is ‘Allen Clarke (‘Teddy Ashton’) – Lancashire’s Romantic Radical’. See
